Sustainable access solutions rely on local project ownership and capacity. Axios engages with local stakeholders, opinion leaders, government authorities and health facility management to improve existing infrastructure, services and operating procedures.
Supply Chain Management (SCM)
Axios believes that reliable, effective and consistent supply chain management systems (SCMS) are a key component of a well-functioning healthcare system. Axios uses a patient-focused approach to overcome supply chain challenges in low-to-middle income countries, focusing on strengthening health facilities, capacity building and providing technical assistance at all points in the supply chain. SCM services include:
- Forecasting & Quantification
- Warehousing & Distribution
- Logistics Management Information Systems (LMIS)
- Inventory Management
- Integrated Commodities Management
Axios identifies workflow processes, equipment and material needs, and HR capacities and weaknesses to build infrastructure that is sustainable, practical and realistic given various contexts.
Donation Program Management
Axios manages global drug and medical product donation programs through its subsidiary, Axios Healthcare Development (AHD). AHD handles all aspects of donation management, including identification of partner institutions or NGOs in target countries and logistics of international shipment and distribution, to ensure that the donated product reaches eligible patients or recipients reliably and cost-effectively.
Laboratory System Strengthening
Axios works to improve diagnostic, follow-up and treatment capabilities in emerging economies by strengthening laboratory systems and services, with a particular focus on the development of quality assurance systems and reliable supply chain mechanisms.
